
Mohali: Will the rain Gods play spoil-sport ahead of the India-Pakistan clash at Mohali?
With less than 24 hours to go for the high-octane semi-final World Cup match, the host city has been hit by rain.
The Meteorological Department has forecast thundershowers for tonight. However, they say the weather should clear up by morning.
“It will be comparatively warm tomorrow. The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 30 to 33 degrees Celsius whereas the minimum temperature will be around 17 to 18 degrees Celsius Wednesday,” said a Met official.

DHAKA: Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi led a spin assault on the West Indies to bowl out their flat-footed rivals for 112 in the World Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday.
Leg-spinner Afridi, already the tournament’s leading wicket-taker, took his tally to 21 as he finished with four for 30, including two wickets off successive balls.
Off-spinners Mohammad Hafeez and Saeed Ajmal chipped in with two wickets each as the West Indies collapsed in a heap after electing to take first strike at the Sher-e-Bangla stadium.

KUWAIT CITY, March 22: The Pakistan Embassy in Kuwait on Tuesday formally started issuing the Machine Readable Passports (MRP) to Pakistani citizens. The launching ceremony was attended by the representatives of the Pakistani community and officials of the embassy.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador of Pakistan to Kuwait Iftekhar Aziz termed the launching of MRP as a big achievement as it met a long term demand of the large Pakistani community residing in Kuwait. He said the ground work for the facility had started a couple of years ago and the Prime Minister of Pakistan Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, during his recent visit to Kuwait had issued special instructions to expedite the process.
